General Practice Information
The partnership consists of four doctors and Shelley Foreman, nurse practitioner, all specialising in family medicine in its widest sense. In addition, Dr Charlotte Woodhams currently works three sessions per week. This practice is committed to the training of doctors and is fortunate to be approved as a training practice for final year students from London Teaching Hospitals and GP registrars, who are fully qualified doctors gaining experience in general practice. Some of the GP registrar's surgeries are recorded on video for educational purposes. Patients are made aware of this beforehand, and recording is only done with the patient's consent.
In addition to the services detailed on this website, the doctors also provide medical care in two community hospitals and various residential, nursing and convalescent homes. They are also involved professionally with the RNLI and local firms.
We employ four practice nurses, two practice managers, eight receptionists and a cleaner.
Our attached staff include district nurses, health visitors and community midwives. We have access to all other ancillary services and a counsellor.
Every year each doctor attends an approved programme of postgraduate education. We are committed to a policy of improvement, expansion and development of the services that we offer.
All the doctors are approved by the West Sussex Health Authority to provide family planning, full maternity services and child health surveillance.
The doctors hold postgraduate qualifications in child health, general practice and obstetrics and gynaecology.
The practice has a thriving support group and new members are always welcome.
Our practice area consists of Littlehampton, Rustington and surrounding areas.
