We are making it easier for patients to get in touch
From the 22nd of July, you will be able to submit medical and admin requests through our website, as well as by calling or coming into the practice. This will include appointment requests, prescriptions, test results, fit notes, referral queries and more.
All requests for appointments with a doctor will now be reviewed by one of our GPs, who will either book you an appointment with a member of our team or signpost you to the most appropriate service for your needs.
This ensures that all patients have equal access to our services, whether you use our online form, call the practice or visit us, and receive the right care at the right time with the right team.
We encourage everyone who can make an online appointment request via our website to do so, ensuring our phone lines remain available for those who need them. Those unable to use our website can continue to call us at 01903 734999 or visit the practice in person.
FAQ
How do I book an appointment?
If you have access to the internet on a phone or computer, please go to our Appointment page on the website and submit an online request. You will be asked a few simple questions about your problem and how you would like us to deal with it.
Who reviews our appointment requests?
All requests will be reviewed by one of our GP’s, who will review and allocate requests to the appropriate member of our clinical team.
What if I don't have access to the internet or cannot fill out the form?
If you cannot use the internet or fill out the online request form for any reason, please call us on our usual number 01903 734999, or pop into one of our surgeries and our team will be happy to help.
Why are you changing this?
We’re always looking for ways to improve how we work and make it easier for patients to get the care they need. As part of this, the new system will further improve phone queue waiting times, building on the call back function we introduced last year.
This new system maximises appointment availability and ensures patients see the right clinician at the right time. It also makes it quicker and easier to contact us online if you’re able to – helping keep phone lines free for those who need to call.
All patients will have the same access to our team, whether you contact us online, by phone, or in person.
